What services do you offer?
I offer developmental editing services for completed manuscripts or sample chapters. You’ll receive:
- An edit letter with a thorough review of your manuscript, with in-depth feedback on “big picture” elements of the book, such as plot structure, pacing, themes, and character development.
- Notes in the margins of your manuscript to illustrate specific points from the edit letter or to offer scene-level suggestions.
- Up to 2 followup emails or a video call to clarify any questions you have and set you up for success with your revision
I do not offer copy editing services, though if I see any glaring typos, I’ll of course point them out!
What genres do you edit?
My areas of expertise are:
- Fantasy and science fiction (all ages)
- Romance (adult contemporary, historical, science fiction, and fantasy)
- Contemporary fiction (middle grade and young adult)
- Historical fiction (young adult and adult)
I would not be the best fit for nonfiction, memoir, picture books, literary fiction, erotica, or very graphic horror.
How much will this cost?
